SCPC Weekly Legislative Review
Read the summary of this week's session of the General Assembly.
Good Bill of the Week: H. 4641 - This bill limits the period of time each day for House members to make recognitions of any kind, thus saving time for more important matters.
Bad Bill of the Week: The House passed H. 4478, the S.C. Economic Development Competitiveness Act. After Thursday's recorded vote on second reading, representatives gave unanimous consent to have the bill read for the final time Friday - a day when representatives are not even required to be physically present in the chamber.
